Defendant Michael Morrison appeals his convictions, after a jury trial, of possession of a controlled substance, a third degree felony, in violation of Utah Code Ann. § 58-37-8 (1996), and possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, a third degree felony, in violation of Utah Code Ann. § 76-10-503 (1995). Morrison claims, among other things, that at trial, the prosecution elicited prejudicial references to his post-arrest silence during examination of two witnesses. We reverse Morrisons convictions and remand for a new trial.
