On March 4, 1989, Officer Stowe of the Carlsbad Police Department responded to a call about a residential burglary that had just occurred at 411 South Elm in Carlsbad. Based on information from witnesses at the scene of the burglary, Officer Stowe then proceeded to 1006-1/2 West Bronson. The information gained was that persons leaving the burglary scene with items of property in their possession had entered the address on West Bronson.
